To fight against the corrupt elements, the Government\nof Pakistan has recently launched an anti-corruption app. The purpose of this\napp to allow patriotic citizens to report fraudulent and dishonest activities\nby the Government employees and higher rank officers. PM Imran Khan has\nlaunched the anti-corruption mobile app named \u201cReport Corruption\u201d on International\nAnti-Corruption Day. PM Imran Khan also motivates youth to participate in\nexposing the authorities involved in corruption and other fraudulent\nactivities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PM Imran khan addressing the citizens during the launching\nceremony and said: \u201cA country cannot make progress where the rulers are\ninvolved in fraudulent activities. A corrupt person is also an enemy of the\nnation\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The anti-corruption app was introduced by Anti Corruption\nEstablishment (ACE) Punjab that is a sub-department of the Services &amp;\nGeneral Administration Department (S&amp;GAD). The Services &amp; General\nAdministration Department is working under the Government of Punjab. This anti-corruption\napp will allow a citizen to lodge complaints anonymously. The aim of this app\nis to transform Pakistan into a transparent &amp; modern nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The idea of launching this app is given by the special\nAssistant of Prime Minister Shahzad Akbar. According to the director of the Anti-corruption\nEstablishment (ACE), their department had received more than 31000 complaints\nof corruption during the past 16 months (PTI Government). He further told the\nEnglish daily newspaper that they inquired about 6883 corruption complaints and\nPKR 179.88 Crore had been recovered. The government has also retrieved the land\nfrom illegal corruption worth 127.89 crores PKR. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because of the launching of the anti-corruption app, these figures\nwill potentially increase as reporting corruption incidents to become more\nconvenient. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s take a look at how this app works and what are its\nfeatures. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Features of \u201cAnti\nCorruption\u201d app<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The anti-corruption mobile app is available on Google play\nstore. People\nmight confuse the term \u201ctrap raids\u201d and its function. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In simple words, the term \u201ctrap raids\u201d means catching the accused\nred-handed. Such raids can be conducted to catch any public servant taking the bribe\nor committing a similar crime under the anti-corruption laws of Pakistan.\nHowever, the presence of an Anti-corruption Establishment officer accompanied by\na special judicial magistrate is mandatory for such operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How to report Corruption\nthrough the anti-corruption app<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The anti-corruption mobile app has a user-friendly\ninterface. Anyone can use it easily. It also offers users to upload evidence in\nthe form of photos, videos and documents. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following four things you can do while using this anti-corruption\nmobile app:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Reporting corruption<\/li><li>lodging a complaint with Anti Corruption\nestablishment (ACE)<\/li><li>Requesting a trap raid<\/li><li>Tracking the status of your complaint<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s take a look at how one can report a corruption\ncomplaint using this app. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Reporting Corruption<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Open the anti-corruption mobile app and click on the \u201cReport Corruption\u201d icon. This step is\noptional. The description length limit is 500 words. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You will find a red button on the top of the page. You can\nattack videos; photos and any documental evidence form that option. After that\nsimply press the submit button to proceed with your report. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lodging a Complaint<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Open the anti-corruption mobile app and click on the \u201cLodge Complaint\u201d icon. After checking the box\nsimply press the Yellow submit button to proceed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Conducting Trap Raids<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Open the anti-corruption mobile app and click on the \u201cTrap Raids\u201d icon. This step is\noptional. The description length limit is 500 words. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This feature asks similar details except you don\u2019t have to\nprovide any evidence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All you need to do is to provide the information mentioned\nabove and simply press the submit button.
