FBR Tax Assan App
Paying taxes in Pakistan has never been easier but after the launch of this app, it becomes easier. The credit for launching this app goes to the Government. FBR tax Assan App was launched by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). The aim of this app was to revolutionize the tax system in Pakistan.
This app allows users to pay their taxes online using its E-Payment feature. It also allows taxpayers to make their payment using Alternate Delivery channels.
Another important feature of the Tax Assan App is to allow taxpayers to check their taxpayer status via an online verification system of this app. You can also register your business for sales tax with the Tax Assan mobile app.
Digital Pakistan Campaign
Prime Minister Pakistan Imran Khan launched the Digital Pakistan Campaign in the first week of December 2019. The aim of launching this app is to transform Pakistan into a digitally empowered society by introducing the latest technologies. These technologies work for public welfare. Former Google Executive Tania Airdus was chosen to supervise the digitization campaign.
Digital Initiatives include:
- Enabling and motivating youth to use Smartphones for constructive purposes.
- Imparting tech & digital skills among the young generation.
- Providing internet access for every Pakistani.
- Introducing e-government by digitizing intra-government communications
- Promoting innovation & entrepreneurship by providing an enabling Government.
The news about the launch of the Digital Pakistan Campaign came shortly after Indian PM Narendra Modi’s Corporation; this app has stabilized Pakistan’s Credit rating.
E-Court Portal
E-courts are becoming popular around the world. We also need an e-court system to upgrade our levels. The first-ever e-court portal system was inaugurated by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Asif Saeed Khan. The purpose of this portal is to make things more convenient for both the judges and the justice seekers.
The Supreme Court’s friendly e-court portal aimed to make the legal system more responsive and time-efficient by digitizing. The portal was launched with the new and improved version of the website including a lot of more helpful features.
According to the official press release, the Supreme Court IT committee worked with the Nadra to launch this system.
The main features of the e-court portal include an online search tool, a video link facility, a cause list search and a judge search window.
Device Verification System (DVS) – DIRBS Pakistan
This software is launched by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) in 2018. The Device Identification, Registration & Blocking System (DIBRS) is a server-based software that identifies stolen, smuggled & counterfeit mobile phones in the country. There are many reasons for implementing this digital system. First of all, this digital system is implemented to make sure only approved and registered mobile device is operational in Pakistan. Second and the most important purpose of this digital system are to discourage smuggling and mobile theft and also to keep an eye on all the phones imported in the country. Lastly, DIRBS brings all the mobile devices used across the country into a net.
It is now compulsory to register your mobile phone with PTA otherwise your device can get blocked and you have to pay fine for unblocking it.
These apps are introduced by the current Government. This is the first step of the Government to digitize the Government service for the welfare of its citizens. These apps are widely used and also gaining popularity with the passage of time.
As a Pakistani, we need to appreciate our Government’s efforts to make Pakistan establish and corruption-free country. We all need to try these apps as well.
